There appears to be no end in sight for the almost 200 striking workers of the Lev Leviev Diamond and Polishing Company as the strike enters its fourth day. The workers have vowed to maintain their strike action until their grievances are addressed.

The United Nations Children’s Fund has decided not to accept donations from an Israeli billionaire on grounds that his company may be building settlements in occupied territory.

Galei Zahal (IDF Army) radio reports that the UN's children's fund UNICEF has announced that it is severing its ties with Africa-Israel chairman and controlling shareholder Lev Leviev "due to his suspected involvement in building settlements in the West Bank."

A UN agency has severed ties with Israeli billionaire Lev Leviev over allegations that he helped fund construction in the West Bank, Reuters reported on Friday. Adalah-NY launched a campaign against Leviev whereby they appealed to the UN children's fund UNICEF to cut its connection with the Israeli businessman, the report said.
