Connecticut United for Peace (CTUP), The Coalition for Justice and Accountability (D.C.), and Adalah-NY: The Coalition for Justice in the Middle East are calling for a national contingent to march against the occupation of Iraq, against the occupation of Palestine, against the attacks on Lebanon, against attacks and other aggressions on Iran and Syria, and for justice in all of the Middle East. We need to come together and mobilize in a loud, visible presence that links these attacks and raises our demands for JUSTICE.

This past year saw a massive escalation in the destruction unleashed by the United States and Israel on the Middle East:

•This year marked 655,000 Iraqis and over 3,000 US soldiers killed since the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
•More than 600 Palestinians and 1,200 Lebanese killed by Israeli forces.
•A US veto against a United Nations Security Council resolution requiring Israel to cease its attacks.
•Billions of dollars in US aid given to
Israel, including an emergency bomb shipment.
•Sanctions against the Palestinian Authority that have impoverished millions of Palestinians, especially in
Gaza.

Israel has finally admitted to being the only country in the Middle East with a nuclear arsenal. Moreover, Bush has proposed a major escalation in Iraq and implied possible war on Iran and Syria.

Clearly, Israeli aggression is supported by the
US, and is closely tied to the illegal occupation of Iraq and larger U.S. strategies for regional hegemony. The anti-war movement must make these connections apparent if peace and justice is ever to be brought to the region and to the world.

We invite everyone who wants a
Middle East
free of injustices and oppression to march with us on Jan 27th.
